Speaker Biographies

Dr. Rattipong Putthacharoen
SE Lead – Symantec (Thailand) Ltd.

Dr. Rattipong Putthacharoen is the System Engineers Lead at Symantec (Thailand). With more than 19 years of experience in the Networking and Security sectors, he is experienced in driving technical advice and strategizing solutions for customers for their complex IT challenges within their business environments.

Prior to Symantec, he was a network engineer at IBM Global Network, a lecturer at Kasem Bundit university, assistant system manager at World Information Technology, System engineer at Packeteer, Senior system engineer and Consulting system engineer at Bluecoat Systems, respectively.

Dr. Rattipong holds a Doctor Degree of Electrical engineering (Computer engineering department – research in Data Cryptography), Master Degree of computer engineering, and Bachelor Degree of computer engineering from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.

Andrew Smith
Director of Computer Forensics
Orion Forensics
Andrew has over 15 years’ experience in the field of digital forensics. Andrew was a UK police officer for 9 years of which the last 4 years was spent working within the police computer crime unit where he received extensive forensic training. His role included the acquisition of electronic data, analysis and the presentation of evidence in the UK courts as an expert witness. His role also included training and assisting police officers in the handling of computers at crime scenes. During this period, he also developed UK law society approved training courses for lawyers and professionals involved in the handling of electronic evidence. Andrew has experience in a wide range of investigations including, terrorism, murders, large scale frauds, child abuse images, malware and copyright infringement.

Andrew has now been based in Bangkok for over 7 years and is the Director of Computer Forensics Services for Orion Investigations. Andrew has developed a range of forensic training courses for the local Thai market. Andrew has also developed a range of free forensic tools which are now used in forensics labs all around the world.

Jason Young
Founder and Principal Cyber Security Architect at Silver Bullet Security
Jason Young is a Cyber Security Architect that has been working within the information security field for more than 16 years. He began his career in information security while serving in the U.S. military when the necessity for both offensive and defensive cyber operations was becoming apparent in 2001. He fell naturally into the role with a passion for anything technology related.

With a background mostly in network security operations and cyber warfare prior to becoming a security architect private sector, Jason has taken this knowledge to focus on manufacturing within GxP environments. He currently is a doctoral candidate at Deakin University in Melbourne Australia researching the integration of information security frameworks to the GxP validation processes for the pharmaceutical Industry.

Sascha Jochum, Co-Founder of Dash Thailand the number one crypto-currency for payments worldwide is also the advisor and partner of many other successful projects in the Crypto and Blockchain industry.
Martijn van der Heide
National CERT of Thailand
Martijn van der Heide has been working in the information security field for 24 years. Currently he works as a consultant at ThaiCERT, the National CERT of Thailand, to help set up security further in the country. His role includes incident response and threat intelligence for the operational CERT team, as well as training and consulting. Before that, he worked at Royal Dutch Telecom, KPN, the incumbent telecom provider of The Netherlands, where he set up KPN-CERT which he chaired for 12 years until he married a Thai woman and was invited to move to Thailand.
Surachai Chatchalermpun
Thailand Information Security Association (TISA) Committee Member
K. Surachai holds a First class honors in Bachelor’s degree of Computer Engineering from King Mongkut University Technology of Thonburi in 2007. He got “Team work Excellence Award” of PTT ICT Solutions: Best Employee of 2009 and got award from (ISC)2Asia-Pacific ISLA (Information Security Leadership Award) in 2011.

Currently, Surachai is the Chief Information Security Officer of Krung Thai Bank (KTB), leading an IT security team responsible for App penetration testing, IT security compliance, security solution architect, security awareness and UAM. Prior to joining KTB, Surachai was the Regional IT Security Manager and Head of IT Security at Maybank Kim Eng Securities (Thailand) responsible for all spectrum of the company’s IT Security.

Surachai is a commitee of TISA, Thailand Information Security Association, and leads TISA Volunteers to collaborate setting up “TISA-Pro Talk” seminar for security professional to share their experiences and social networking across industries such as Telecommunication, Bank, Hospital, University and etc.

As Principle Consultant, Dr Margetts leads key compliance consulting assignments. He is considered a global expert in the fields of GMP compliance and validation for the Pharmaceutical and regulated industries.

He worked for AstraZeneca (formerly Zeneca and ICI Pharmaceuticals) since 1988. He has been responsible for a variety of international projects, e.g. leading teams responsible for technical transfers, new product introductions and preparations for international, European and US FDA pre-approval and regulatory inspections, these projects included auditing sites against compliance standards and managing the required improvement . During his time at ICI/Zeneca/AstraZeneca he managed the introduction of new medical device products, including setting up global supply chains and ensuring their compliance to international standards. During the 1990’s he managed the introduction of new world-wide validation procedures and was the Chairman of a UK Pharmaceutical Industry Group charged with writing a Guideline on Computer Systems Validation which evolved over a number of editions and expanded from UK through Europe, USA and Japan and is now called the Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GAMP) Guide. Dr Margetts was chairman for the editorial review of the latest version of the GAMP series, GAMP 5, published in 2008 which is considered the world reference for Computer Validation for the Regulated Industries.

He has also been involved in producing several of the GAMP/ISPE good practice guides including A Risk Management Approach to Compliant Electronic Records and Signatures. This important document is now over 10 years old and has been re-written by a multinational team over the past 18 months. The new document is called Records & Data Integrity.

Felix Mango

Felix is Co-Founder of Dash Thailand and Co-Founder of FUTERIO, a Southeast Asia based gateway to Blockchain projects. He is responsible for ICOs, STOs and corporate Blockchain projects.
Felix is also Head of the German “Blocktech Institute”. This Berlin-based Blockchain academy helps corporations from all sectors finding their Blockchain potentials. The author of the “Bitcoin Handbook” works in the Blockchain space since 2014 and is very well connected in the German and international Blockchain ecosystem.
Peter Jackson
Corporate Risk Services & Multi-National Clients Lockton Wattana Insurance Brokers (Thailand) Ltd.
Peter has an MBA from Aston University. He joined the insurance industry in 2004 from KPMG where he led Sales & Marketing for FTSE100 clients as well as leading a number of major consulting projects. Peter Joined Lockton in 2012 and was CEO of Lockton Singapore before moving to Lockton Wattana in 2016. His insurance experience is in managing large complex clients across multiple countries. He has carried out a number of risk management projects for clients including ERM, Supply Chain, Logistics and Insurance Procurement and more recently has helped clients understand and manage their Cyber risks including how insurance plays a role in mitigating the impact of Cyber attacks on large businesses.

May is a cybersecurity professional who has spent last 12 years helping organisation across multiple industries to improve and increase their security posture. She believes in a holistic and practical approach to security, integrating information security into business and technology operations to help global leaders address their pressing security and risk concerns.

Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD)
Pol. Lt. Col. Chawinnroj Pimratchtatamrong is deputy superintendent of The Royal Thai Police’s Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD). His role is cybercrime investigation and Thai law enforcement. He is also expert Thai Computer Crime Act.
